Dr. Brown founded NAVSYS which has grown from a home-based consulting business in 1986 to a nationally recognized high-tech defense contractor. She has expertise in doing business with the Federal Government and starting and running a small business. She is a Monument resident and enjoys riding horses and hiking in the National Forest.

Richard (“Ric”) Denton, Colorado Springs Chair of SCORE
Ric Denton is the Colorado Springs Chapter Chair of SCORE, whose mission is to provide free and confidential counseling to small businesses. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs, Ric was in Silicon Valley, California, where he founded businesses in the defense, medical and biotechnology areas. He currently consults with Bridgehead Partners, which evaluates companies looking for follow-on rounds of venture capital. Ric’s first occupation was as a physicist, and he received a Ph.D. from the University of California at Santa Barbara
